Jamshid completed his higher education with honors and received a bachelor’s degree in science in the field of marine transportation from State University of New York. Jamshid entered the shipping industry by sailing as a third and second mate on a multi-purpose super-handy size vessel, carrying a variety of cargo to the ports of the world. His strong sense of ethics and his team building ability helped him to shift his focus to successful shore related maritime activity when he accepted a position as a break-bulk superintendent in the pacific northwest region.
Jamshid joined Metro’s team in September, 1981 as a bulk superintendent. In over twenty-six years in a variety of managerial roles, Jamshid accumulated diverse experience in all phases of stevedoring operations including labor relations.
